Pune, Sep 26: On September 19, D Y Patil International University (DYPIU) came alive with innovation and energy as it hosted the ShrijanHack 2024, an internal hackathon designed to select teams for the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024. With 53 teams participating from across various disciplines, the event proved to be a melting pot of creativity, problem-solving, and cutting-edge technology.

The hackathon, divided into two categories—Hardware and Software, allowed students from a variety of fields like Computer Science, Bioengineering, Management, and others to bring their best ideas forward. From robotics projects to innovative software applications, participants showcased their talent and passion for solving real-world problems through technology.

DYPIU's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Prabhat Ranjan, graced the occasion with an inspiring speech. He encouraged students to align their academic and career goals with the university’s vision as a Knowledge Hub, urging them to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving technological landscape. His words resonated with the participants, further motivating them to excel during the event.

The projects presented by the students were nothing short of remarkable. Innovative solutions in the fields of robotics and software development took center stage, with the jury panel comprising experts like Vipin Vibhute (DY Patil College of Engineering), Abhishek Ranjan (TCS), Dr Manish Sharma (DY Patil College of Engineering), and Dr Nalini Santosh Jagtap (Dr DY Patil Institute of Engineering). After a rigorous evaluation, the top 5 teams were declared winners and were felicitated by Prof. Prabhat Ranjan and other dignitaries, adding prestige to their efforts.

The participants were filled with enthusiasm and determination, proving their dedication and talent in fields ranging from robotics to AI-based solutions. The event not only fostered teamwork but also provided a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity.

The winners will now prepare to represent DYPIU at the Smart India Hackathon 2024, where they will compete on a national stage, bringing their innovative solutions to the forefront of technological advancements.
